Guiding children on an adventure of exploration, learning and discovery.
Our Curriculum
Learning effectively to develop positively
Our curriculum is guided by various frameworks such as the Early Years Learning Framework and My Time, Our Place. Our experienced educators develop programs that integrate play based learning, concrete and sensory materials and take into account children’s interests and strengths. This well rounded early childhood program ensures children have every opportunity to learn effectively and develop positively.
National Quality Framework
As an approved learning framework under the National Quality Framework, The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia conveys the highest expectations for all children’s learning from birth to five years and through the transition to school. Our educators use the Framework as a guide to curriculum decision making and assists them in planning, implementing and evaluating quality in early childhood education.
We aim to ensure that we incorporate the core elements of the Framework which encompasses belong, being and becoming. We also ensure the five core learning outcomes are achieved;
1. Children have a strong sense of identity.
2. Children are connected with and contribute to their world.
3. Children have a strong sense of wellbeing.
4. Children are confident and involved learners.
5. Children are effective communicators.
Expeditions Early Learning Journey actively aims to exceed the National Quality Standard across seven core quality areas.
1. Educational program and practice
2. Children’s health and safety
3. Physical environment
4. Staffing arrangements
5. Relationships with children
6. Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
7. Governance and leadership
